Teacher: Mr Trofimczuk (info@troftech.com): Wiki start date: August 2012 Introduction:
The Computer Science Wiki resources on here are for the Computer Science standard level IB Diploma course, but can be used to help students or teachers working on other Computer Science courses.
If you would like to contribute or become a member please contact me via the email address above.
How should the syllabus be spread over this course?:
Example 1:
Timetable:
Planning and Systems Installation (3 classes, 225 min)
User Focus (2 classes, 150 min)
System Backup (2 classes, 150 min)
Software Deployment (1 class, 75 min)
Components of a Computer System (2 classes, 150 min)
System Design and Analysis (4 classes, 300 min)
Human Interaction with the System (2 classes, 150 min)
Total Time: 1200 min
IBO Requirement: 1200 min
Note: The algorithm used to compute these time slightly favours longer classes over shorter ones. In practice, slightly more time should be devoted to areas such as Components of a Computer System and System Design and Analysis (± 20 min).
